This is my attempt to preserve a piece of history. I have been the family historian for my family for 27 years. My husbands Marshall family came to Oxford in the year, 1880 and his Faust family came to Ortonville in 1928. My love of history has taken me to many areas of this hobby. I have been transcribing documents and newspapers for different US GENWEB sites all over the United States, in hopes of helping someone knock down their proverbial brick wall, for over 2 years. Then it occurred to me to adopt a township, actually six townships and here we are. I hope these sites help you knock down your BRICK WALL.

All contributions will list the name of the contributor as well as their e-mail address. Be sure that your contribution complies with copyright laws.

This site is intended to be used as a tool or to suggest clues of where to take your research next. Always double check and get more documentation, as there is no such thing as too much documentation. Good luck and enjoy!

The other goal with my township sites is to include as much information as I can about the early residents/pioneers, regardless of their class! Many of the early biographies are available because these pioneers paid to have them published in books. I do not want to forget the other pioneers that did not have their biographies published. Should you like to write a biography or history of your family and contribute it to this site we will be more than happy to receive it. I will add your family story; listing you as the author & contributor.

03/23/04 Note: Please bear with me as I work two jobs and don't have as much time to contribute to the site as I would like to. Hopefully this will change when one of the companies that I work for is sold, then I will be back to one job. Thanks for your patience. DJ
